Bill Keller, Executive Editor of the New York Times, took center stage at LitNet’s second “No Limit to Literacy” fundraiser event on April 27, 2007, at Monument Mountain Regional High School in Great Barrington.

His talk, titled “Why Newspapers Matter in These Times: Covering Iraq, the CIA, and the War on Terror,” shed light on the importance of newspapers and the media in today’s fast-paced, wireless society.

Bill Keller said there will always be a demand for trusted news content providers, such as newspapers and television stations, despite the rise of such Internet sites as the reader-written Wikipedia. He answered audience questions and later chatted with attendees.
